Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. Born on November 11, 1966. Her debut in a feature film was a tiny role on her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later she was portrayed as a Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). The other roles she played include Siobhan Donavan on the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was a model when she was approached. It turned out to be a profitable career. Doody stringently avoided glamour and naked work, a rule that she extended to her acting profession. She accepted a small role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when her name was picked by the casting director. Doody appears as a part of John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 promising actors in 1986. 38. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying where she played IRA Member Siobhan Donovan. Doody appeared as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 version from The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. She played Sapsorrow in the Jim Henson's fantasy series The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her most memorable role to date as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist The doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film alongside Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. She played Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. After a long absence from screen Doody came back to acting, with a small role in 2003 British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine playing herself in an event scene for the award ceremony. The roles she played include a TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 as well as a booklet on the Holocaust and the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody was in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. In 2011, she was set to be the main character in The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). On 21 November 2018 she was honored by the Almeria Tierra de Cine award and was awarded a star in Almeria Walk of Fame.
